Me and My Shadow
Here I combined several plates, printing multiple times and in the lower print including a plate made from a photograph of myself casting a shadow while taking a photograph of myself. In this way I cast my shadow on my father's work as his influence continues to shadow my life.
Songs My Father Sang To Me
I also started working with a plate made from a page from a notebook of my father's from 1914 when he was 11 years old. I double printed using a drawing from a photograph of mine which made a duet and reminded me of Natalie Cole recording a track of her singing along with her father.
The Hand You Are Dealt
This summer I began an exploration of symbols. The hand or Hamsa in Hebrew is important in many religions. It also ties the art back to the first hand prints in caves.
